RIA School- CEA approved RES and CPD Course Provider (ACP) appointed by the Council for Estate Agencies (CEA). Since its establishment in 1982, RIA School of Real Estate has provided RES and CPD courses that have been attended by thousands of aspiring and practising Real Estate Salespersons. RIA School is aligned with CEA’s objective to prepare real estate agents to meet the higher standards of the enhanced licensing and new registration framework.
Under the new regulatory regime administered by CEA, one of the registration criteria for property agents (or individual salespersons) is that they must pass the CEA’s Real Estate Salesperson (RES) examination or have equivalent qualification. This ensures that agents intending to do estate agency work are well qualified and professionally competent to work effectively in the real estate industry.
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) scheme is one of the key components of CEA’s regulatory framework to achieve higher professional standards in the industry. Under the Estate Agents (Estate Agency Work) Regulations 2010, every KEO, practising director/partner and salesperson will be required to undertake mandatory CPD courses.
